Double Impact are the chosen 2018 charity partner for Nottingham confectionary retailer, The Treat Kitchen, who will also be collaborating with Double Impact’s social enterprise Café Sobar on some upcoming events this year.
The sweet sensation confectionary shop first opened its doors in 2014 in the city centre of Nottingham and in 2015 was awarded ‘Nottingham’s Best Independent Business’ by Nottingham BID. Double Impact are proud to unite with The Treat Kitchen in order to help reduce the stigma attached to drug and alcohol addiction and to give back to the Nottingham community.
The Treat Kitchen’s Marketing Manager Jodie Baker commented of the partnership:
"With the volume of collaboration we do with Café Sobar it seemed only natural to pick Double Impact as our chosen charity. We admire what they do and would like to support it and the service users as much as we can. Double Impact are also celebrating 20 years of service and to mark this auspicious year, The Treat Kitchen will develop a brand new ‘Double Impact’ dual-flavoured sweet, with all profits going to the charity."

In addition to this, the confectionary retailer will be one of the sponsors of the charity’s annual Spirit of Recovery Awards ceremony. This event will highlight the significance Double Impact has had in many people’s lives by celebrating those involved with the charity and their achievements.
CEO of Double Impact Graham Miller is delighted to have this support:
"Having The Treat Kitchen involved in partnership with our charity in its 20th anniversary year will help us to reach a much bigger audience and get the message out that lives don’t need to be destroyed by addiction. We hope that this message will encourage others to support our work by purchasing the ‘Double Impact’ sweet or by getting involved in our 20 Half Marathon Campaign at this year’s Robin Hood event. We believe that The Treat Kitchen is a strong and authentic business who are genuinely committed to our work and motivated to support our service users."
In addition to the celebrations, Graham is set to run 20 Half Marathons culminating at the Ikano Robin Hood Half Marathon on 30th September 2018. If you would like further information on the Robin Hood Half Marathon and how to get involved please click here.
