The Notts Recovery Collective officially opened its doors, welcoming partners, allies, and friends from every corner of the county to our busy welcome event. The energy was electric, the sun was shining, and the space was absolutely buzzing.
A Day Built by Us, For Everyone
As a Lived Experience Recovery Organisation (LERO) working in Notts for over 20 years, everything we do comes directly from the people who live it. This entire day was organised and run by the Members of the Collective themselves, and it truly showed the heart of what we are building here.
The event was packed with moments that showed exactly what community-led recovery looks like:
Powerful Testimonials: Members shared their deeply moving, personal journeys, reminding everyone in the room why this space is so vital.
Homegrown Success: We proudly shared fresh, beautiful produce grown directly by our members in the Collective’s allotment garden.
Creative Connection: Visitors rolled up their sleeves and joined in on a range of creative activities, showing that recovery is about thriving, learning, and creating together.

Welcoming Our Allies
We were absolutely thrilled by the turnout and the massive show of support from across the region. We were joined by some amazing guests, including the High Sheriff of Nottinghamshire, representatives from the National Lottery Community Fund, and inspiring colleagues from other LEROs across the country.
The support didn't stop at a conversation and a cup of tea. We are proud to say that many of our visitors officially signed up to become 'Associate Members', committing to stand alongside us as we grow. This is Just the Beginning
If you missed the event, don't worry—the doors are open, the momentum is building, and there is a place here for you. Whether you have lived experience of recovery yourself, or you are an ally who wants to support a thriving, peer-led community in Nottinghamshire, we want you involved.
