IPS works with local employers and individuals receiving recovery support to broker meaningful employment opportunities which benefit both parties. Emedded within treatment and recovery systems, they are ideally placed to build pathways into employment which is well-matched to each person rather than just ticking a box for funders. Double Impact has always delivered specialist employment support and we are really pleased to be involved in delivering this in the form of IPS across several locations.
Staff gathered recently for a full-day event focused on professional development, collaborative strategy, and team cohesion. In addition to workshops and networking sessions, production crews spent the day capturing footage across the city, interviewing team members about the vital impact of IPS services. Staff members led the on-camera presentations, with the finalised promotional media slated for upcoming regional distribution.
The gathering also served as a moment to celebrate local achievement, with official figures confirming that the Lincolnshire drug and alcohol IPS service has achieved the ranking of number one in the country, which is an amazing achievement! A huge thank you to all the team.
The event concluded with a formal presentation marking the completion of a team member's 12-month tenure as an employment connector. Colleagues gathered to thank them for their dedicated service and present their leaving gifts. The individual is scheduled to return to the organisation in the coming months to assume a new role as an activity coordinator.
A short film explaining more about the approach and impact of the service can be viewed here:
