On 11th May 2018 we are celebrating our 20th anniversary with a very special ‘Spirit of Recovery’ Awards ceremony and 20th Birthday celebration. Our annual awards event is always very powerful, moving and uplifting as it celebrates the huge personal achievements of the people we support, as well as recognising the contributions to our work made by local individuals and organisations within the community – the event is attended by many public figures and will be a very special occasion.
In addition to the awards we will be hearing from some of the people whose lives have been transformed over the past 20 years of Double Impact’s work. After the awards an after-party will be held at Cafe Sobar, the charity’s social enterprise, with live music and entertainment.
The purpose of our wider 20th anniversary celebrations is to raise awareness of, and reduce stigma around addiction, as well as raise much needed funds for the charity’s work… research is now showing that addiction often stems from childhood trauma and difficult life events and the impact of one person recovering ripples out to their families, children, friends, employers and to society at large.
We are looking for sponsors of this special event in the following areas:
- Cost of venue hire and catering – contributions of up to £500 in total
- Cost of producing event programmes/ materials – contributions of up to £1000 in total
- Cost of making the ‘gongs’ – contributions of up to £500 in total
- Entertainment at the after party – contributions of up to £500 in total
- Sponsoring an individual award (12 categories to choose from) – £50 each
There will be a number of opportunities for recognition of any contribution which you are able to make, which we are more than happy to discuss with you.
If you would like further information about these or just to find out more, please contact Rebecca Stonehouse or Chris Bayliss for a no-obligation chat, on 0115 824 0366 or contact us.
