A successful partnership between Double Impact and award-winning business, The Treat Kitchen, has reached the final stages in the forthcoming East Midlands Charity Awards, in the Outstanding Charity Support category.
The central aspect of the partnership has been a voluntary placement scheme supporting people in recovery from addictions back into the workplace. So far, 13 participants from the Towards Work programme, in which Double Impact is a delivery partner, have been placed within different areas of TTK’s business, which operates from its base in Sneinton, enabling them to regain confidence, refresh or learn new skills, and obtain a reference, all of which are vital to entering a competitive job market.
Out of the 13 volunteers, 5 have gone on to secure paid positions within the company.
TTK Confectionery have recently scooped several awards, which shows that taking an inclusive approach to recruitment is no bar to success.
