In celebration of national Recovery Month, Double Impact officially opened a new digital suite within its Cafe Sobar premises in Nottingham this week. The suite, funded by a capital grant from Public Health England will help to equip people in recovery with the necessary digital skills needed for today’s competitive job market, and provides an up-to-date and engaging learning environment. The facility will enhance the work of the Big Lottery funded proejct in Nottingham, Recovery Recruitemnt,w hich providesspecialist support ot peope in reovery ready to return to work and mainstream education.
During the opening ceremony, CEO Graham Miller spoke to a room of partners and beneficiaries from The Big Lottery Fund, Public Health England, Nottingham Crime & Drug Partnership, NHS Digital Research and the Department For Work & Pensions.
Operation’s Manager Stephen Youdell unveiled Double Impact’s new ‘Recovery Portal’ app, which is now available to download on Android and iPhone. The app is focused on providing support and information to service user’s in Nottinghamshire and Lincolnshire. Part of the app’s design helps service users find support groups that are local to them with an interactive map.
