Double Impact's Academies provide accredited and non-accredited courses in a range of subjects to support people recovering from addictions to gains skills and confidence to move forward with their lives. They are located in Nottingham city and Lincolnshire and, since the pandemic, have also been adapted for online delivery.
External moderators from the Skills & Education Group who carried out the bi-annual audit were impressed by the high quality of the organisation, quality assurance processes and learner contributions.
The report highlighted:
"Excellent leadership/direction and very thorough Quality Assurance management from the AIV/course coordinator...The learner portfolios and Quality Assurance files were well organised and presented to an exemplary and consistent standard...Evidence of learner achievement was clear and much of the work was very thoughtful, honest and often inspiring in terms of the learner journey.”
As a result of the successful audit, the organisation retains its Direct Claims Status which allows allows centres to claim certification for its service users without waiting for an external quality assurance activity to take place.
Academy Manager, Stephen Bunting said "We're delighted to have retained this status as it is vindication of the high quality of our provision, the high calibre of the teaching staff and the robustness of our internal quality assurance processes. This all contributes to a very positive, transformational learning experience for our students'.
