Make a Difference in Recovery
Are you passionate about supporting people to achieve positive change in their lives? Do you believe in the power of peer support, volunteering, and recovery-focused services?
We are looking for a motivated and inspiring Peer Mentor and Volunteer Coordinator to lead and develop our Peer Mentor and Volunteer Programme within the Recovery Team.
This is an exciting opportunity to empower people with lived experience, support their personal and professional development, and promote volunteering as an integral part of recovery.
About the Role
As the Peer Mentor and Volunteer Coordinator, you will be responsible for delivering a high-quality, safe and effective peer mentoring and volunteer service. You will recruit, train, supervise and develop Peer Mentors and Recovery Support Volunteers, ensuring they have the skills, confidence and support needed to thrive in their roles.
You will work collaboratively with colleagues, people accessing services, and external partners to promote recovery, mutual aid and community engagement.

About You
We are looking for someone who has:
Essential
• A strong understanding of recovery principles and person-centred practice.
• Passion, energy and enthusiasm for peer support, volunteering and mutual aid.
• Experience of supporting, mentoring, coaching or managing volunteers.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience working with people with lived experience.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to maintain accurate records.
• Confidence using IT systems and databases.
• Ability to build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Desirable
• A teaching or training qualification such as AET, PTLLS or equivalent.
• Experience delivering training and facilitating learning programmes.
• Knowledge of volunteering frameworks and best practice.
• Experience within substance misuse, recovery, health, social care or community services.
Most importantly, you will share our belief that people can make positive and meaningful changes in their lives when provided with appropriate support and opportunities.
