An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Lincolnshire Recovery Partnership, a vibrant new partnership delivering substance use treatment and recovery services across Lincolnshire from April 2024.

An innovative ‘Recovery First’ model underpins everything at Lincolnshire Recovery Partnership, with lived experience recovery fully integrated and visible throughout. Double Impact combine their specialism in lived experience and recovery with Framework Housing Association’s expertise supporting service users experiencing severe multiple disadvantage, together with Turning Point’s national experience as an outstanding substance use provider.

Lincolnshire’s residents will benefit from Lincolnshire Recovery Partnership’s highly integrated and highly localised approach, supporting with multiple issues across all parts of Lincolnshire, all from within the same partnership.

IPS EMPLOYMENT SPECIALISTS

Salary: £28,407 - £30,639
Location: Multiple roles available, various locations across Lincolnshire

We are delighted to be recruiting for IPS Employment Specialists to join as part of a new Individual Placement and Support (IPS) programme within the Lincolnshire Recovery Partnership.

IPS is an evidenced-based employment approach that is internationally considered as the most effective approach to supporting people with mental health problems to find and keep the right work opportunity.

The role will deliver supported employment to people in community treatment for substance use, who may be affected by other health conditions or disabilities, using the Individual Placement and Support approach (IPS). Full training on the IPS model will be provided.

Key responsibilities: -
1. To manage a caseload of around 25 clients in structured treatment for substance use who are motivated to start/return to work
2. To initiate job search and contact with employers quickly – within 4 weeks – building relationships to the benefit of your clients
3. To provide individualised unlimited support to participants and their employer which may include, but is not limited to, employer education and support, return to work strategies and negotiation around workplace adjustments to ensure job retention

4. To provide participants/clients with expert advice around welfare benefits to enable them to make informed decisions about work
5. To support the integration of the IPS approach into the substance use treatment service with the Lincolnshire Recovery Partnership to include attendance at clinical team meetings as an embedded IPS practitioner

About you: -
• We would like you to have some knowledge of the IPS model
• We would like you to have experience of talking to employers and helping people into work
• We want great communication skills and the ability to build relationships with everyone from the frontline up to CEO level
• Negotiation skills and commercial acumen
• Drive, passion and commitment
• Proven ability to build rapport with people and especially understanding issues for people with affected by substance misuse or similar conditions
• Boundless enthusiasm, excellent teamwork and the ability to work in a target driven environment
• Strong written skills/verbal/ organisational skills
