Project Worker

Contract Type: Fixed Term Contract until 31st May 2025

Hours: Full Time, 37 Hours per week (Monday to Friday) (Potential to close at 7pm on one night a week and occasional outside office hours if required)

Salary: £22,550 per annum

Location: Mansfield Academy (18-19 St John Street, NG18 1QJ)

Recovery Links Nottinghamshire is a new service (established June 2021) that has been developed and shaped by the challenges of COVID-19, and the impact of lockdown on individuals and organisations to access and deliver services. Recovery Links Nottinghamshire’s hybrid delivery model aims to provide; telephone and web-based support; on-line recovery peer support groups; on-line personal development training; time limited face to face interventions; pathways to volunteering and employment and a Nottinghamshire wide asset for individuals and communities

The role of Project Worker will support Double Impact Services to continue to establish the project ‘Recovery Links Nottinghamshire’ to deliver the following headline objectives: -

  • To provide a county-wide recovery information telephone/web based service, informing and directing people to support with alcohol and drug problems
  • To deliver an online guided peer support group programme and Level 1 and 2 progression training/qualification
  • To support individuals on a time limited one to one basis to minimise harm and achieve their recovery objectives
  • To support individuals to access volunteer opportunities within the Project with a particular focus on, voluntary telephone helpline support, co-facilitation of peer support groups and 1:1 peer mentor support
  • To establish the Project within Nottinghamshire Networks ensuring the Project has a distinct identity in all relevant local partnerships

Candidates will have: -

  • Experience of working with people trying to access recovery from substance dependence
  • Experience of delivering groups and or non-accredited learning.
  • Experience of working with individuals on personal development plans and strategies to maintain momentum
  • Experience of supporting volunteers in the work place
  • Experience of working with people from a range of social, cultural and ethnic backgrounds
  • Experience of partnership working
